Area H2O – Hard Water Shampoo and Conditioner: GUEST POST

Living in London is kind of exciting for me. Always new people, new adventures but also damaging water.People, who have lived in other areas and cities before, told me that the water in London would destroy hair and skin. And that I should work against it. Of course, I ignored this, being sure that this would not affect me. Huge mistake! But you always learn from mistakes, right? I started being more aware of how my hair reacts to water. I noticed some of the “symptoms” listed below.
At least I am not the only one who suffers. Almost everyone living in hard water regions is kind of mourning hair and skin problems. These are the common hair problems you have, when using hard water:
  • -          Hair loss
  • -          Hair feels dry
  • -          Thinning hair
  • -          Hair lacks body and shine
  • -          Dandruff or eczema of the scalp
  • -          Hair is resistant to colour or perming
  • -          Colours fading too quickly
  • -          Perms appearing to fall out
  • -          Discoloration or darkening of hair

This is a lot, right ? Some people notice all of it, some people only suffer from dry hair and some are not affected at all. Well, I have noticed hair loss, dryness, thinning hair and no shine. This is a total catastrophe ! That’s why I browsed through the web and found the products of Area H2O. They serve people living in soft, medium and hard water regions by providing them shampoos and conditioners for normal/fine and coloured hair. Depending on where you live the hair care products work on those specific problems. So that’s why I tried Area H2O Hard Water Shampoo and Conditioner for normal/fine hair.

Design: I think the Design of the product is totally fine. It looks clear and the purpose of it is the main point, which is well described.
Information: The information on the bottle is totally fine. They say it helps to treat hair that is washed with hard water. Result: super clean, less flyaway hair with great shine. For more info about water regions you can visit their website (which I liked): areah2o.co.uk

Texture: The shampoo looks and feels kind of normal. It’s transparent. But there is not as much lather as in other shampoos. They recommend using small portions. Well, I massaged some of it into my hair. Rinsed it.And did it again. The conditioner is not as runny as other conditioners – but I think this is nothing bad. I took a small portion of it and applied it on my hair by doing a hair massage (make sure you do not apply it on your scalp, as this would make it greasy).
Result:Indeed, my hair feels softer than before and it really smells good. I believe the two helpers can really make your hair look healthier. But it is important to maintain good diet also. Regular use of products for hair damage caused by hard water is helpful, as it has got a different formula.
You can purchase this double pack (shampoo and conditioner) for £17.50 on their website. It’s worth trying. Just have a look and find out which water area you live in before ordering.
Thanks for reading. I hope this was helpful ;)
