Sebamed Skin Care Review

Sebamed is a leading brand of medicinal skin care. All products are made with high-quality active ingredients that are designed to cleanse and nourish the skin without destroying its natural balance. It is scientifically proven that Sebamed works well with sensitive and problematic skin.
Having sensitive skin myself finding cost effective products that suit my skin is my aim. Sebamed sent me some products to try; here's my review.

  • 100% soap and alkali-free
  • The new blend safeguards hair and scalp against dryness
  • The hair structure is kept intact helping it to remain shiny and healthy
  • Moisture retaining properties add volume and shine
My head is currently dry, itchy and irritated; I hate it. Who wants to walk around with a flaky head? Not me, that’s for sure. When asked by Sebamed what I wanted to review this was the first thing I said.
The shampoo itself is a thick and colourless liquid.
Considering it’s 100% soap free it smells a lot like the bubbles you blew as a child, this is something I didn't like. Looking past the scent this product is effective in cleaning, it lathers up well and without using a conditioner the hair is still shiny and soft.
Sadly my irritated scalp didn't disappear - this could be down to using chemically loaded hair dyes so keeping that in mind I can’t say the shampoo doesn't work.

  • 100% soap and alkali-free
  • Contains natural moisturisers - Allantoin and Pentavitin
  • Contains skin regenerating Panthenol
  • Economical - you only need a drop to wash hands and face

This mint green liquid contains a pH balance of 5.5 to ensure the skin stays healthy, balanced and moisturised. The scent is subtle and soapy which reminds me of baby wash.
I used this to wash my body and my skin felt soft and nourished, there was no tightness which I liked.
I’m more sensitive in the face that anywhere else on my body; after using this you could tell. My face was tight and dry and I had to slather more moisturiser on that I normally would. This is the only downside to the face and body wash. For me it’s not an issue as I have a different routine for my face anyway so wouldn't use it in that way.
  • Clinical study demonstrates increased moisture
  • Absorbs quickly leaving no residue
  • Containing Allantoin to regenerate and sooth rough chapped skin
  • Bisabolol and Panthenol to calm and prevent skin irritation

Hand and nail cream is one staple product of mine along with lip conditioner and moisturiser. I find nothing worse than dry parched hands so keep hand cream around at all times.
The scent of this cream is so clean - you can barely smell it. It reminds me of soft new born baby lotion.
The cream itself is a white cream that isn't runny or overly thick. Thankfully it absorbs fast enough not to get in the way of any tasks that involve the hands. There is no greasy residue left behind and the hands don’t feel slippy or oily. Afterward almost 2 weeks of daily use I need to use this cream less and less and my hands are naturally soft.
I love this product and will buy it once this tube runs out.

  • No preservatives
  • SPF 30 so that the lips are protected against UVA and UVB damage
  • Vitamin E which protects against free radicals
  • Jojoba Oil and Rice Bran to nurture sensitive lips whilst protecting against dehydration
Due to the twist up stick design this is suitable to store in your pocket or bag and there's no messy fingers when you want to apply it.
It has a soft scent which reminds me of a lip product I used to use a kid. The difference is that the Sebamed Lip Defense doesn't leave a waxy white coating. This makes it perfect for very dry or chapped lips; you can apply it time and time again without looking like you've eaten a candle. The sheen to the lips is subtle and not greasy which is perfect for not drawing attention to them when they're feeling run down. The coating stays on the lips for quite some time, it doesn't bleed around the lips so you don’t look greasy.
This is now one of my new favourite lip products due to it’s effectiveness.

Great reviews hun! I've seen Sebamed before and have been pondering whether to get them or not for my little guy who's skin is so sensitive. I love the fact that their prices are also affordable. I might grab that lip defense.
